Ryan Skomorowski
Head Coach & Director of Swimming
Based in Burnaby, Head Coach Ryan has been coaching for over 20 years at every level. His deep background in swimming comes through his experiences as he was an ex-varsity on top of his current coaching reume. He values team atmosphere and attention to detail. Coach Ryan is continually getting swimmers onto the National track and into post-secondary opportunities. This past year he had coached a swimmer on the Paralympic team.

Hattie Sun
Assistant Head Coach
Coach Hattie began her coaching career while swimming at the varsity level, where her passion for the sport naturally evolved into a love for developing others. She thrives on technical work and takes pride in guiding athletes through the process of reaching their goals. Swimming has always been a central part of her life, and sharing that passion with the next generation is what fuels her commitment to excellence every day.

Andrew Woinoski
Assistant Head Coach
A member of the club for over 17 years, Andrew Woinoski brings more than 9 years of coaching experience. He has helped numerous swimmers achieve their first Canadian National or Trials qualifications and has had a strong presence assisting teams to six provincial championships and one Western Championship title. Andrew's coaching philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach, using swimmers' goals to help guide the teaching and development of all swimmers' physical, technical, and psychological skills. In addition to his coaching career, Andrew has a strong competitive swimming background. He is a three-time NCAA Division II All-American and eight-time Canadian National & Trials finalist. An SFU Swimming alumnus, he holds a degree in Psychology along with two years of kinesiology studies, integrating academic knowledge into his coaching practice. Previously, Andrew served as the Head Coach of the Burnaby Mantas, where he gained valuable leadership and club management skills. In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and staying active. Go Olympians!
Cory Beatt
Coach
Cory Beatt is a dedicated swim coach with extensive experience in competitive swimming across Alberta and BC since the early 1980s. Most recently, Corey served as the Technical Director for Swim BC, where he led the provincial technical program. Over his career, he has coached athletes at all levels, including age group, para, open water, and varsity swimmers, guiding them to break Provincial and National records and represent Canada at a major international competitions such as Paralympics, Olympics, and World Championships. Cory is committed to fostering athlete development through technical proficiency, mental resilience and a supportive team environment. He is also deeply dedicated to mentoring other coaches, helping to elevate the quality of coaching within the sport.

Pearl Schramm
Abbotsford Head Coach
This will be Coach Pearl's fifth year coaching with OS. Pearl swam with the club from 2008-2018, competing at the provincial level for 6 years, acquiring years of personal experience and knowledge of competitive swimming. Pearl is NCCP 101 certified and is currently working on her 201 certification. She is excited to share her knowledge and help her swimmers achieve their goals!

Mia Goretic
Coach
Mia grew up in the Olympians Swimming program, developing her competitive foundation and passion for the sport within our club. As a former Olympian swimmer, she understands firsthand the commitment, culture, and standards that define our team. She holds an undergraduate degree in Health and Science from Simon Fraser University and is passionate about incorporating her knowledge of fitness, strength, and overall athlete wellness into her coaching approach. Mia brings great energy to the pool deck and focuses on building confident, technically strong, and well-rounded athletes. Outside of swimming, Mia loves to stay active and is an avid runner, further fueling her passion for endurance, performance, and healthy living.

Sue Melody Logan
Coach
A former NAIA Championship swimmer, Sue captured 12 individual national titles and led Simon Fraser University to three NAIA team championships. A two-time SFU Female Athlete of the Year, she is a member of both the NAIA and SFU Hall of Fame, a former Canadian record holder in the 4x100m freestyle relay, an Olympic Trials finalist, and a Canadian Masters record holder. Sue brings decades of coaching excellence to Olympians. She previously served as Assistant Coach at SFU and was named NAIA District 1 Coach of the Year. Over the years, she has coached with several leading clubs across British Columbia, guiding swimmers to numerous provincial and national age championships. She was also selected by Swim BC to coach the provincial youth development team at the 2016 Olympic Trials. With her elite competitive background, proven leadership, and NCCP Level 1, 2, and 3 certifications, Sue will play a key role in developing high-performance athletes within our National Groups and strengthening our Performance Pathway.
Strength and Conditioning Staff

Sean Nugent
Coach and Head of Strength and Conditioning
Sean Nugent is a strength and conditioning coach and swim coach with Olympians Swimming. He has previously worked as a strength and conditioning coach for Canadian Sport Institute Pacific and the Canadian mogul ski team, where he led S&C preparations for major events such as World Championships, World Cup Tour, and the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Sean completed a Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from St. Mary's University in London, England. In 2019, he recieved a Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award for his role in preparing Mikael Kingsbury for his double gold medal preformance at the 2019 Freestyle Skiing World Championships. With a diverse swmming background, Sean transitioned from a summer swimmer to a year-round competitor, was an alumnus of the SFU swim team, a former national team swimmer, and has been coaching since 2002. Sean believes in developing athletes holistically to help them pursue their passion and reach their full potential.

Amar Fejzic
Club Development, Marketing & Strength Coach
Amar has been coaching swimming in BC for the past four years, bringing high-level competitive experience and energy to the pool deck. A former sprint butterfly specialist, he began his career with Hyack Swim Club before competing at the NCAA Division II level with Simon Fraser University from 2018–2022. His highlights include becoming a national champion in Bosnia and Herzegovina and earning a finalist spot at the Canadian national level, which led to a nomination to represent Canada at the 2022 FINA World Cup in Toronto. Amar understands the mental and physical demands of elite sport and uses that experience to guide swimmers in both performance and mindset. Outside the pool, he enjoys strength training, good food, and keeping the team atmosphere fun. He’s also your friendly neighborhood realtor and coach—always ready to help families in and out of the water.
Jimmy Zhang
Coach
Jimmy brings strong leadership and high-performance experience to his role as coach of our National 8 group. A former varsity swimmer at Simon Fraser University, he understands what it takes to compete at an elite level and uses that background to elevate the standard on deck every day. Drawing from his university training and competitive experience, Jimmy focuses on building disciplined, technically sharp, and mentally tough athletes. He is passionate about pushing his swimmers to reach their full potential while creating an environment that balances accountability, growth, and team culture.

Manny Montakhab
Manny is an extroverted and energetic coach who brings great intensity to the pool deck. A dedicated lifter and committed athlete, he channels his passion for strength and fitness into helping swimmers build power, confidence, and resilience. His high-energy personality creates a motivating environment where athletes are encouraged to work hard, support one another, and push toward their goals. Manny is committed to driving success through positivity, accountability, and effort every single day.

Oleg Kameka
Oleg is a talented breaststroker who competes in our National Group and brings his expertise to coaching younger swimmers. Passionate about the sport, he focuses on developing strong technique, discipline, and a love for swimming in the next generation, helping them reach their full potential in and out of the pool.

Sander Crooijmans
Sander is a standout swimmer on the Netherlands National Team who also shines at Olympians, breaking club records and setting high standards in the pool. When he’s not competing, he loves coaching younger swimmers, inspiring them to reach for the stars and develop both their skills and confidence.

Tristan Harrer
Tristan is both a dedicated coach and an active swimmer with Olympians, bringing a current athlete’s perspective to the pool deck. Still training and competing with the club, he understands firsthand the standards, work ethic, and mindset required to perform at a high level. His relatable approach and up-to-date training experience allow him to connect closely with swimmers, helping them refine their skills, build confidence, and push toward their next level of performance.

Melody Pourmokhtari
Melody is a passionate and dedicated coach who brings energy and focus to every session. She is committed to helping swimmers of all levels improve their technique, build confidence, and achieve their personal bests, while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

Asiah Demsky
Hello, I am Asiah Demsky; certified lifeguard and coach. I swam for 13 years with AOSC, I volunteered for 3 years, and this will be my 4th year coaching. With a variety of former coaches, I have combined their various coaching techniques to promote improvement and teamwork. I enjoy telling stories about my time in the club and helping swimmers reach their competitive goals.

Adhan Irfan
Adhan brings great energy and enthusiasm to the Olympians coaching staff. Passionate about athlete development, he focuses on creating a positive, hard-working environment where swimmers can build confidence, improve their technique, and grow their love for the sport. Adhan is committed to helping each athlete progress at their own pace while reinforcing strong fundamentals and team culture.

Justin Schramm
Justin is a former butterfly specialist who competed at the varsity level with the UVic Vikes. He brings his competitive experience and technical knowledge to our Masters group, helping swimmers stay in shape, refine their skills, and crush their goals in and out of the pool.

Savanah Sidhu
Savanah is a dynamic and inspiring coach who approaches swimming with creativity and enthusiasm. She thrives on helping swimmers discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop a love for the sport, all while fostering a fun, motivated, and confident team environment.

Joshua Kim
Joshua Kim is a former Olympians swimmer and proud UBC Swimming alumnus who brings both club roots and university experience to the pool deck. A breaststroke specialist during his competitive career, he understands the technical precision and discipline required to excel in the sport. Joshua is passionate about using his background to mentor the next generation, helping young swimmers refine their skills, build confidence, and chase big goals with the same commitment that shaped his own journey.

Daniel Canon
Coach Daniel started coaching back when he was 13 and has been swimming competitively since age 10. He is excited to share his knowledge with the younger swimmers to help them achieve their goals.

Kalan Larson
Before coaching, Kalan swam for Olympian's Provincial and National groups. She enjoys sharing her passion through her coaching and strives for improvement in her swimmers.
